Metaverse|Digital economy is booming

The same 2020 report shows that the average gamer globally plays games for 6.3 hours per week, with 18 to 45 year olds averaging over 7 hours. This doesn't include the time spent watching others play video games each week (3.5 hours for women and 4.6 hours for men), with younger respondents putting in more time.

3. The gaming experience far surpasses other forms of media.
In terms of interactivity, gaming definitely beats video and reading. In terms of immersion time, it also far exceeds other forms of media. For example, while a season of a TV show may total 10 to 20 hours, a game with its additional content may provide an immersive experience of more than 100 hours or more.
4. Games are designed to demonstrate the expertise and engagement of participants.
Not only do games generate discussion and exchange within the community, they also incentivize competition within the community. Traditional media does not have this competitive drive, and the multiplayer viewing experience is no match for multiplayer games.
5. Games will grow with the addition of new technology platforms.
For example, consoles, PCs, cell phones, etc., while traditional media will struggle to survive this leap. In the best case scenario, the new generation in traditional media will cannibalize the previous generation, as evidenced by streaming replacing discs today.
